Here at medCrowd, protecting information is at the heart of what we do, so we’re really pleased about the GDPR regulations. The ICO enforced guidelines which went into effect today will give control of data back to subjects; force technology companies to demonstrate transparency to their users and overall protect the fundamental rights people have over their information.
We are continually excited by the ongoing digital revolution, how information communication technology enables people all over the world to easily send and receive information. We also know that this comes with great responsibility, that’s why we go above and beyond to meet information privacy and security regulations.
Since its inception medCrowd has been compliant with GDPR and other regulations including the NHS Commercial Third Party Information Governance, HIPAA, UK Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation.
GDPR means for medCrowd users that you will always know what we are collecting and why, so you have greater visibility about your information, which is exactly how it should be!
We never sell your information on to 3rd parties and we work hard to exceed portions of the GDPR regulation, for example with our age permissions policy.
While GDPR for some has been a cause for concern, we welcome it with open arms knowing that people deserve to have their personal data treated with the utmost care.
