19th June 2017 by Dr Felix Jackson

We're very excited to announce that medCrowd has been accepted to join the London South Bank University's Simulation for Digital Health (SimDH) program.

SimDH

SimDH combines the academic knowledge within London South Bank University (LSBU) with the real-world experience of industry partners, the result is a comprehensive level of knowledge and experience ready to be passed on to the program participants via a spectrum of tailored workshops and consultancy.

LSBU is home to a variety of state-of-the-art facilities at their Southwark campus, including virtual reality suites, rapid prototyping equipment, realistic hospital wards and other skills labs. We will now have access to these facilities to support the development of medCrowd.

medCrowd and SimDH

We will be working together with experts at LSBU to user test and refine medCrowd. LSBU's extensive expertise will be invaluable both from their Division of Computer Science and Informatics and also the School of Health and Social Care in the allied health professions, including nursing, midwifery, radiology, occupational health and physiotherapy.

LSBU

In 2016, LSBU won the Entrepreneurial University of the Year at the Times Higher Education Awards [PDF, page 9]. Celebrating the entrepreneurial support offered to students, graduates, staff and the local community led by LSBU’s Research, Enterprise and Innovation team based at the Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation with support from academics across LSBU’s seven Schools.
